  • CLOTHING & DOCUMENTS
    • Layers your clothing(i.e. T-shirts + light long sleeve + Sweat shirt + Jacket)

    • Extra shoes/ rubber boots
    • Gloves
    • Sunglasses
    • Ontario Outdoor Card (Even an expired card helps. Get your outdoors cards online.)
    • Boating License ( Any state license is valid..see home page for links. Rusty Myers has an option for a dockside one time license, if you are repeat guests to Canada we ENCOURAGE getting a life time license
    • Crossing into Canada...you need a valid passport or passport card. Children need a birth certificate, and it is suggested to bring a letter that the other parent or parents have knowledge they are going to Canada. Check with border officials if you have questions.

  • FISHING GEAR
    • Light action rod & reel with 10 lb. fishing line (walleye)FOLDING NOT REQUIRED
    • One medium action rod & reel with 15 lb. fishing line (Northern Pike)FOLDING NOT REQUIRED
    • Tackle (spinners, lead jigs - 3/8 oz.) Various sizes & colors, straight hooks, leaders, sinkers 1/4 - 3/4 oz.
    • Artificial lures i.e. rapalas, fake worms & leeches etc.
    • Depth finder (one per boat suggested)
    • Stringer & Fish Handling Gloves
    • Scale/ measuring tape
    • Life Jackets - C.S.A. approved

  • MISCELLANEOUS
    • Bait (You can bring worms in bedding into Canada; we can arrange to have bait here)
    • Refreshments (keep in mind your weight limit)
    • Emergency Boat Kit consists of: 50 foot rope Bailing Bucket flashlight-with batteries whistle
    • Insect repellent
    • Junk food
    • Might come in handy:Ziploc baggies, freezer baggies,BandAids,Antacid, antiseptic, sunblock and duct tape (many uses)
    • How about...playing cards and spices to cook with, and fish batter ( we supply cornflake crumbs )
    • Camera
    • Water Filtering Device MiniWorks┬« EX Microfilter OR this device filters gallons at a time....leave it to filter, bring powdered drinks to eliminate orders

Do not over pack as your are only in camp for 7 days...however lots of warm clothing is a must in the fall. Your hunt will be much more enjoyable.

When flying, weight is a prime consideration. We allow a maximum limit of 70 lbs. per person, including all gear, food and beverages. Plan your trip carefully: Overloads are expensive! Contact our office two weeks before departure if you need assistance with beverages
